Air Botswana to reintroduce flights to Zambia

18 Feb 2019

planeAir Botswana will be resuming flights to Zambia following a 2-year pause, with the initial flight date set for 31st March 2019, Lusaka Times reports.

Air Botswana accredited an increase in commercial activities and travel between the two countries for the reintroduction of flights.

Zambia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Botswana, Goodwell Lungu, pointed out that advanced economic cooperation between the two countries is what resulted in the flight renewal. Mr.Lungu added that Botswana is one of Zambia’s major partners in the economic, trade and investment sectors – with several additional projects taking place between the two countries, such as the construction of the Kazungula Bridge Project.

A 70-seater jet service will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Air Botswana told the Zambian Mission.
